About
Bath Christmas Market is one of the most beautiful in England — over 150 chalets set against the backdrop of Bath Abbey and the Georgian architecture, selling handmade British crafts, artisan food, and gifts. Unlike many Christmas markets that import continental goods, Bath focuses on local and British makers. The setting is extraordinary — the market winds through the streets around the Abbey, with the honey-coloured Bath stone buildings providing a backdrop that no purpose-built market can match. The quality of the stallholders is carefully curated, with an emphasis on handmade, locally produced goods. The market runs for 18 days in late November to mid-December. Evening visits are particularly atmospheric when the buildings are lit. Bath's restaurants and pubs add seasonal menus. Combined with the Roman Baths, Thermae Bath Spa, and the Georgian architecture, it makes for one of the most festive day trips in England.
