Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using Pintrekker.

What is Pintrekker?

Pintrekker is a free platform for discovering and sharing local events, places and social meetups. Think of it as your local guide to what's happening, where to go, and who to go with.

Is Pintrekker free to use?

Yes — Pintrekker is completely free. You can browse events, places and socials without an account. Creating an account lets you save favourites, leave reviews, add listings and connect with friends.

How do I add an event or place?

Click "Add an Event", "Add a Place" or "Organise a Social" from the navigation or footer. Fill in the details, upload images, pick a category and location, then publish. It's live straight away.

What are Socials?

Socials are informal group meetups organised by community members. They're linked to an event or place and let people find others to go with — like a group hike, a gig buddy meetup, or a food crawl.

How do I save events and places?

Click the heart icon on any listing to pin it to your board. You can also create collections to group your favourites — for example, "Weekend Brunch Spots" or "Summer Festivals".

Can I plan a trip with friends?

Yes! Create a Plan from your board, invite friends, and collaboratively add events and places to your itinerary. Everyone can see the plan and chat within it.

How do reviews work?

After visiting an event or place, you can leave a star rating and written review. Editors can reply to reviews on their own listings. Reviews help the community discover the best experiences.

Is my data safe?

We take privacy seriously. Read our Privacy Policy for full details. We don't sell your data and you can delete your account at any time from your account settings.

How do I report a problem?

Every listing has a report option in the overflow menu. You can flag spam, inaccurate info, permanently closed venues, or inappropriate content. Our moderation team reviews all reports.

Can I edit or delete my listing?

Yes — go to your listing and click Edit. If you want to remove it entirely, there's a delete option. For events, you can also cancel (the page stays visible but is marked cancelled so pinners are notified).
