About
Green Man is the UK's most beautiful music festival — set in the Brecon Beacons in Wales, with mountains visible from the main stage. The lineup focuses on folk, indie, electronica, and leftfield music, and the atmosphere is gentler, more creative, and more family-friendly than bigger commercial festivals. Beyond music, Green Man has outstanding literature, science, comedy, and film programmes. Einstein's Garden (science) and Babbling Tongues (spoken word) are particular highlights. The food is a cut above — Welsh producers feature heavily. The Mountain Stage at dusk, with the Black Mountains behind it, is one of the most spectacular festival views in the world. The festival has a devoted following and sells out reliably. Families are welcome with an excellent kids' area. The whole event has a warmth and community spirit that larger festivals struggle to achieve.
